Salt air corrodes the bearing races, and once a roller seizes it grinds a groove into the track — which is why a door that has been dragging for months often needs track work as well as rollers.

Miami-Dade sits in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so replacement glazing in an impact-rated opening must be an NOA-approved laminated unit — you cannot drop ordinary annealed glass into an impact door. If your door was never impact-rated, you are replacing like for like unless you choose to upgrade.
